Affiliates Program

The 2006 Corporate Affiliate Program is being communicated to companies interested in working with the universities of the Carolinas MicroOptics Triangle. This uniquely designed program gives the company access to three universities, credits for equipment usage, passes to seminars, and a proactive agreement in relation to intellectual property.

Three Levels
Three different levels of participation encourage university – company interactions.

Strategically Positioned Resources
CMOT takes advantage of the three technology platforms:

• Optical materials at Clemson University;
• Integrated optics and modeling at UNC-Charlotte; and
• Rapid product realization at Western Carolina University

As a combined alliance, CMOT has a vertically integrated capability to provide fertile ground for product innovation and technology development. The collective resources include 225,000 square feet ($57M) of new building space, $29M in equipment, 37 Professors, and 30 Staff.
